Bluetooth in car

Have you tried rebooting the phone while in the car (and away from other BT devices)? I'm curious to see whether that post on the Motorola forums might be a clue to at least an interim solution.

Just checked, same problem.

What kind of car?

X3. Not sure when it was built. I seem to remember having that issue initially, but I just I am not sure what caused it. Just unpair and repair. Play around with the "Download images" setting in the bluetooth settings after pairing.

Thank you. I'm in a 2013 M3... I think the combox is identical between the two. I guess I'll try and wipe everything in the car, delete my pairings and start fresh.

The Maxx works great with the Ford SYNC system. Pandora, Tune In, and Slacker all display song info and texts read as well. Take Care

2013 Focus TI SYNC with MFT. The texts didn't initially read but I deleted the phone and re-paired it. Works well. Take Care

It sucks you guys are having issues. I have had zero connection issues in my 2012 Hyundai Sonata and my wife's 2013 Chevy equinox. In the Equinox I even get album art and info displayed on screen.

Yeah, the MFT is newer. Mine doesn't do anything but play music, make calls and read texts

In my 2011 Ford F150 w/SYNC, the phone works fine. First time I tried to play Pandora I got no sound. I finally figured out I needed to turn up the Media volume up to maximum. I didn't have to do that with my old Rezound. Since I'm using NFC Task Launcher, I can create an activity when BT connects to turn the Media Volume up all the way, and another one to turn it down when the BT connection is lost. I also noticed navigation sounds stay on the phone, where with the Rezound it went through BT.

I received a message saying I could use MFB or voice dial button to say commands. Does anyone have any experience using the multifunction or voice dial button to issue commands to phone? I tried using the voice command button on my 2010 Toyota but it didn't work. Not even sure I'm doing it right. Anyone?

Alee, mine was working well before but now it has started the connecting and reconnecting loop and never makes a stable connection. Did you ever find a solution?

Thanks!

My blue tooth has just started the connect/disconnect routine. It has been working great until today on my X3. The only new app I installed today was install the new BBM app... I will test more tomorrow but I tried rebooting and re-pairing.

I too tried repairing and rebooting. Even cleared the cache on the Bluetooth app. Assist has also stopped automatically playing music when driving. Not sure if they are related. I don't recall installing any particular app when the problem started in the last week or two.

I just got a 2013 BMW 328i and am suffering through the same exact problems as well... very frustrating!

It has to be something that changed recently. It has been working great until yesterday.

I have figured out my issue. I re-paired the phone to the car and when the message shows up that the car want to access my messages, I cancel out of it. I allow access to just the contacts. Once it pairs and sycs the contacts it seems to hold the pair. It stopped constantly dropping and reconnecting. I think the connection drops occurred when syncing with my messages (texts and emails). I cannot explain how this has worked every day since I bought the phone until yesterday. Perhaps BBM corrupted the message store? Perhaps I have an email that is causing issues? Whatever the case, I really do not rely on the car to read or display my text messages or emails.

I hope this helps others as well.

I just wanted to give a report on my experience with my 2 cars. With both the 2012 Volvo S60 and 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo, I've had no problems pairing the Droid MAXX. They also both transfer contacts well and show song track information when streaming music. The only negative thing I've experienced is that occasionally, when streaming music in the Volvo, the stream will be choppy and un-listenable. However, a quick reboot will correct the problem. I don't know if the culprit is the car or the phone, but I suspect the phone. Other than that, it's been pretty seamless.

Those of you without problems: Are you able to read texts and emails through your cars navi/entertainment system using the MAXX?
