Android Central Question

Google Pixel 4a, Android 13
My phone is pared OK to my car, it indicates Bluetooth is On, yet the connection seems to "sleep." To refresh it I have to turn Bluetooth Off and then On again, then the connection wakes up. How can I overcome this great inconvenience?

Hello and welcome! I'm sorry you're having this issue. I'm wondering if the problem could be with your car. I was having connection issues a few months ago. I didn't think it could be my car, but during a scheduled service appointment at my dealer's service department, I was told there was a big computer update. Once that was complete, my connection issue ceased to be a problem.

Welcome to Android Central! Which car? Is this the factory-installed head unit, or aftermarket?

Do you have any power-saving modes on the phone turned on?
