I paired my bluetooth with my G2X but when i turn it and the bluetooth for the phone on during a call it won't let me connect and i can't make my phone discoverable during a call.

Did i do this wrong?

How did you guys sync your bluetooth?

I usually keep bluetooth and the headset on if I plan on using it. I've honestly never tried connecting it during a call on the G2X.

Bluetooth Connection

I have had the same problem, where starting my Bluetooth devices no longer sync up automatically with my phone. To make these devices work, you have to go to your Bluetooth settings and scroll down to the connected devices, then manually connect the device that you want to connect to. This is very inconvenient, since I have to do it each time that I get in my car. This is not a problem that I had on my Nexus One.

The other Bluetooth issue that I am facing is that when I am connected and listening to audio-books using the Audible app (and I have heard the same problem exists for streaming music), the connection goes in and out many times while I am listening. Also, many times when the screen is turned off, I lose the Bluetooth stream completely, but it returns immediately when I click the power button to turn my screen back on. It seems like there is some sort of "sleep mode" that is disabling the Bluetooth connection when the screen is powered off. My trick for this is to leave the device plugged in, with the 'stay awake when charging' setting enabled on the phone, this way it never goes to sleep therefore disconnecting me.

I absolutely love this phone, but these Bluetooth connectivity issues are very annoying.

Seen that problem, although I think it only happens with the leaked os version. (?).

There is a free app called Stay On that does the trick, but better be charging your phone while you are at it. :)

I'm on my 3rd G2X and have not synced my Jawbone Icon yet to this 3rd one
(just got it last night), but on the 1st couple I had, every time I turned off the phone,
I had to re-sync the bluetooth, which began to be very annoying.

Not sure if its the Jawbone or the G2X.

I can't say that I've had any problems with my phone not automatically synching with my car's bluetooth. Sometimes it is a little but delayed, but that would also happen with my mytouch from time to time.

This was happening to me on my Galaxy S4G as well as my G2x. There is a way to fix it. After pairing your device, go into the settings and long press on your device. Then go to the autoconnect options and make sure you click on automatic. You should not have the problem anymore after that.

This appears to be a known issue. It's being discussed over at the LG forum. Apparently they are working on a fix?

I have to resetup my BT connection every morning if I want it to work and I oftentimes have to power off/on my phone in the afternoon to get it to work then. I have a '11 F-250 w/ Sync.

This seems to be a well known issue with 2.2 My myTouch 4G had major issues pairing with the bluetooth in my car as well. My earlier Android phones that were running 1.5 had absolutely no issues at all. My Blackberrys had no issue either. My understanding is that this will be handled in Gingerbread or a software update.

I have yet to pair the G2x with my car... I am concerned that it will throw the audio system into a perpetual cycle looking for a bluetooth device like the myTouch 4G did. It basically shut off the audio... completely. I had to take the car to the dealer to have them reset the audio system via the computer... not good!
