Bluetooth Issues

When you receive a call while using Bluetooth headphones, do you hear an audible ring? Mine will not ring when connected to Bluetooth headphones, a Bluetooth speaker, or my car's Bluetooth system.

I just hooked up my Moto 360 2nd gen. watch to my Pixel 2 XL and it has no problem auto-connecting to my fm transmitter's bluetooth in my car when the watch is connected already. They both work seamlessly together.

Hey guys, I've had the Pixel 2 XL for a while and am about fed up with the Bluetooth issues I'm experiencing. Anyone else having Bluetooth call issues when wearing a smartwatch, difficulty connecting automatically to Bluetooth devices, and bad connections? This is my 2nd 2XL and it's the same issues. Has Google seriously botched their Bluetooth Stack as badly as it seems and messed up the handoff protocols? I've found myself using my Galaxy Note 8 as my daily driver because of these issues; I want to like the 2XL, honestly but these issues are just too much.

BTW I've reset settings, I've cleared caches, and reset both phones several times and I'm on 8.1

Thanks,

I am having similar problems with my Toyota sound system. Sometimes it works fine. Other times it will be working, then I'll get out of the truck for 5 minutes and it just won't reconnect. I'll have to reset the phone to get it to connect. I have the auto connect app installed also. The problem seems to reside on the phone rather than the truck.

When I uncheck that box on my S3 it disconnects from the watch all together...

Well, I think S3 shows the disconnected sign if HFP (phone calls) is disconnected, but in reality you still have other connections active. I think Samsung has added also some proprietary protocol (Samsung plugin needed for Gear) to send notifications to the watch, so I can see when someone is calling, and I can manage i.e. Spotify even if the phone calls are not connected.

It is extremely annoying that Google manage to screw up the connections, I think it is just a matter of prioritization of HFP connections and handover policy, accepting new connections even if one already exists, or allowing 2 HFP connections, even if audio will only go to one... plenty of things to figure out, but this used to work perfectly fine before.

Ongoing issue Google has never addressed major Bluetooth problems
I've never had issue with my Bluetooth. I literally use it everyday in my truck and for my headphones at work.

I use Bluetooth on my Pixel 2 XL every day in my car. It works perfectly and reliably.

My Pixel 2 XL Bluetooth works perfectly with my Sony WH-1000XM2 wireless noise cancelling headphones.

My PIxel 2 XL prints via Bluetooth to my Canon Imageclass MF731Cdw laser color printer with no problems.

I've never had issue with my Bluetooth.
I never had much of a problem with my 2 XL, either. My Pixelbook, on the other hand--a friggin' Bluetooth nightmare! Course, I'd like to see phone unlock work once before I die, too!

My pixel 2xl connects to my car (Honda Civic Si) just fine. I have acquired an ice cube bt speaker and it connects but will not produce sound. I can cannect the ice cube to my work iphone and my personal laptop just fine. Google - this is well know tech, fix it please! make sure the telcos get the updates to install
