Bluetooth no longer automatically connects to keyboard

I'm running android 6.0.1 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 and until 2 days ago my Zagg bluetooth keyboard would automatically connect whenever it was turned on (given that my bluetooth was switched on as well). In the last couple of days it just stopped doing that. I have to switch the keyboard to bluetooth 2 (there are three pairing settings, 1,2,3) as well as go into my bluetooth menu and connect it automatically. The only things different are that at one point I paired the keyboard with my PC and I think it was on mode 1, and also I got a game pad that is now also paired with my tablet. I don't know how to fix this and it is extremely annoying. Very frustrating.
