Bluetooth no longer connects to car

What have you tried so far? Does it help to forget the devices on both the phone and car system, then go through the pairing/connection process? Do you have any other Bluetooth devices that might be competing for a connection? What happens if you go to Settings>Bluetooth ​and tap the car entry -- does it connect then?

Have done all of that and no competing devices. Just started today. Was pairing fine.

Are you on android O? My phone calls work through the stereo but music does not.

Same problem on Pixel XL since I installed Android O yesterday after I/O

My problem is that sometimes the phone connects and sometimes it does not. I could be using the phone then stop for an errand and when I return and you start your car up the phone is not connected and will not connect unless I reboot the phone.
