You have had more issues with you DInc 2 than anyone I know. I would call verizon and have them send you a new one. My blue tooth has been working great.

The bluetooth problem is actually my friend. Signed him in to my account to ask the question. But the reboots are me

The only bluetooth issue i am having is that the call volume is pretty low. I have the bluetooth sound all the way up and i have to turn the volume on the car up pretty high. Much higher then my blackberry storm.

other then that the phone is working great!

Sorry can't help you here.

I'm having a bluetooth issue myself. Actually it's the same issue I had with the Thunderbolt. Bluetooth will not stay connected to my 2011 GMC Terrain. iPhones, Blackberries, and D-Inc 1 work great. No issues whatsoever. But the connection keeps going in and out. The issue is described in detail here:
HTC Thunderbolt Bluetooth will not stay connected to vehicle hands-free system - Google Mobile Help

Since it's both the Bolt and the D-Inc2, my guess is it has something to do with the bluetooth chip HTC has put in these things? Or is it something to do with Sense 2.0? Either way, it's a huge, huge bummer and it's making me consider taking back the D-Inc2 for a Motorola android phone (which I really don't want to do because the Bionic should be out by summer) or an iPhone. Sigh.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

same problem with all of them?
have you considered trying a new headset to test?

My GMC Terrain is the headset :)

Just like with the Droid Incredible one, setting up bluetooth to be able to call using my car stereo is very simple on the Droid Incredible 2 - but it just doesn't work. The bluetooth connection keeps going in an out. Many other users with many other different types of vehicles are having this same issue with Thunderbolts and Droid Incredible 2's.

It has to be something with the updated HTC software or the hardware. Clearly my Terrain is just fine as literally any other phone works perfectly to do bluetooth calling; iPhone 4, Blackberry, Droid 1, and my original Droid Incredible.

Does anyone know how to officially 'report' this to HTC/Verizon?

TIA!

What brand bluetooth are you having problems with? I had always been able to use LG or Motorola bluetooths with no problem. They didn't work well when I had BB so I made the jump to Jawbone Icon.........and that works great ! Jawbone makes the best bluetooth.

My phone connects directly to the factory stereo in my 2011 GMC Terrain. I use no ear piece or anything or any other bluetooth device, just standard bluetooth calling that came with the car... It's great technology and hands free calling via bluetooth is pretty standard (I think) on most new vehicles. Just gotta have a phone that doesn't have the connection go in and out :)

Going to test mine tonight when u get off of work on my vw jetta hope I don't have the same issue

For your sake I hope you don't have the issue either. From the online research I've done, it's only certain vehicles it's happening on. The Terrain unfortunately falls in that category. It baffles me that HTC can upgrade a piece of software/hardware in less than a year that makes it less compatible with devices. Bluetooth is such a basic/standard technology anymore. Hard to screw it up, you'd think.

Just to note: I have mine hooked to my BMW and my Fusion and both work flawlessly. Could be a GMC and Android incompatibility.

Linked the phone to my Acura TSX. This system connects easier then my blackberry storm. The data connection asks to set up but i didnt configure

how do YOU know when I get off work

Just kidding. Hope it works out for you.

lol yeah just noticed that. Had Bluetooth issues with temp root reported my phone and drove two hours without a single loss of connection could be the car but I doubt try and get another to see if its just your phone and try another headset to eliminate the car

Phone links great with my buddy's Acura.

This is the second D-Inc and I had 3 Bolts before this.

D-Inc 1 works flawlessly with the GMC Terrain, as does several other HTC phones I've tried. Whatever they did with the Bolt and D-Inc 2 screwed up the compatibility with GMC I guess. Sucks...

I should probably find a way to 'report' it to HTC somehow and hope a fix is released one of these days.

@Jude526

I have the original jawbone which was very loud with my Eris, but not loud enough with inc2. How is the bluetooth call volume with jawbone icon on inc2? Can you hear the other person while driving? Is the sound quality same as your previous phone? Thanks!

Had the same issue with my 2011 Buick LaCrosse, My DINC2 would pair easily, connect and then keep losing connection although it stayed paired. Had no trouble with the phone staying connected on either 2010 Audi or 2010 BMW. My wife's non-smart phone will stay connected to the Buick as will a Droid X. Buick's "solution" was to get a different phone. I believe it's on HTC's end although when speaking to them they "have never heard of the problem."
