does anyone know definitively if leaving bluetooth on all day is a serious battery drain, or just a small one? i usually leave it on, so i don't have to bother with remembering when i'm already driving.

is this going to really impact the battery life in a meaningful way or not? i never turned it off on the m7. but i've seen a few people say it's a real drain and wanted to try and ascertain what is actually the case.

thanks.

I never turn off anything. The M8 is the first device I can use like I want and not run out of battery before the day is over.

I personally leave it on... I haven't seen any major drain... I must assume that the software must have a power saving switch that cuts it back to low when it's not connected or it's not transmitting. When I use navigation, I notice that if there are long lags in driving notification (driving instructions) it will disconnect and then reconnect...

So, it's either a power saving switch or I have a defective BT transmitter or reciever... Never had my Rezound disconnect before...

Leave mine on all the time. Automatically connects to my car and Headphones for the gym.
Checked on GSAM battery monitor and bluetooth shows 1.5% today and running for 7hrs since i unplugged charger.
Battery still at 88% with moderate usage.
