BOGO this Friday ?

It appears the regular Razr Droid is Buy-One, Get One Free, not the Maxx Razr?

EDIT: I spoke to a VZW rep online. They stated it's only for the 16GB and 32GB Razr, not the Maxx. Oh well...

Just got off the phone with VZW and ordered the Maxx. It is on the BOGO deal but you can't find it online yet, you have to ask for it.

I got off the phone with VZW 20 minutes ago. Got 2 Razr Maxx BOGO. If you try to order them online as a new customer it also does BOGO. I am not a new customer, it was an upgrade. On a side note, only one of my lines was due for an upgrade. The other wasn't due until the end of march.

Just got off with VZW twice in the last hour, the main line is due for upgrade now and my line is due April 4th, the 1st rep said he couldn't upgrade mine early because it was a BOGO deal, even though they did the last three times I've upgraded, the 2nd rep said the reason they couldn't was because of contractual agreements with the phone mfg.

Getting sick of VZW and their reps telling different stories, we've had a family plan since they started them, $200 monthly the last 5 years adds up

I talked to a rep last night about upgrading a line early and he said it was all about who you talk to. He also said I wouldn't be able to do a BOGO with only one line being eligible yet I called today and was able to do it. It really does just depend on the rep and probably the call center they are out of.

Yep, I know someone today that just got it done in the store. Only one line was eligible, but both got the phones.

OK, I was able to get it done for the Maxx with a phone agent. It cost me an extra $20 to early upgrade my wife's line but they gave me next day shipping for free.

What is considered an early upgrade? I'm just curious as 1 year contracts which are now gone were able to upgrade after 10 months and 2 year contracts can upgrade after 20 months.

I think if the line you want to upgrade has not yet reached the upgrade date, but does show it as able to be upgraded at a discount you can get an early upgrade. In my case the line in question still had about 5 weeks to go before reaching the upgrade date.

Thanks. So it's probably people who are within weeks of their upgrade date which does makes sense. Keep the customer and make a few extra bucks profit.

13 days ago my wife and I each bought the Maxx. This morning I called *611 from my phone, asked them about the BOGO offer and got one of the phones credited to my account. It was pretty painless. So now I got two phones for a total of $269.99. Nice!

Cool! When I ordered mine today the total came out to $199.07. I was shocked. I made sure it was to 2 razr Maxx and it was. I didn't ask any other questions lol. Not going to argue with that price!

Got a BOGO RAZR MAXX on the phone I bought on release day. I added a line to my family account to get the free phone so I don't know if that helped or not but saved me $299 on the device. Now my wife will have a MAXX to replace her Dinc 2 which I'm sure she is going to say is "too big".

Well, if she doesn't like it, I'll buy it off of ya... since it is free and all.

I just got off the phone with a rep also and was told the BOGO is only on the new white and purple regular Razr. She said the Maxx does not qualify. What gives with all the conflicting stories, Verizon?

Last week I bought my Maxx for $169.99. My wife bought hers for $269.99. We were on seperate accounts. Can we each return our phones, combine our accounts with a family plan, then repurchase my phone for $169.99 and get the second one free?

Return phones ($35 restocking fee per phone), close one account and redo your account with a family plan and you'll pay $299 for a new MAXX and get the second free. Then you have to pay a $35 activation fee on the free phone. Add all that up and I think you're better staying with what you have as it would be too much hassle for the couple dollars saved.

Ok, so I called *611 again, got through to a different rep, and the order sailed right through. No need to return my phone and all I had to pay was a $20 early upgrade fee on the wife's line (wasn't due for a full upgrade till June) and I have another Razr Maxx on the way. It's crazy how one rep will tell you something completely different from another rep. Just...... nuts. Oh well, wife will be happy!
