Android Central Question

Hey i have galaxy i9500 and i have just reinstall it for the first time with odin.

I have strange problem that i am unable to solve. I am trying to save some bookmarks on my main screen of the phone and each time i save them they are getting deleted after few minutes.

Anyone have any idea if there is app that might delete the bookmarks from the main screen of my phone?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean a browser bookmark widget, or are you talking about app shortcuts?

Hey thank you for the welcome,
I am creating bookmarks shortcut Internet app that come with the phone and save them on the home screen.
I have tried to create website bookmarks with chrome as well and save them on the home screen.
Normally after few minutes or after i reboot the phone the bookmarks i save are getting deleted.

I do not sync my bookmarks is that something that can remove the bookmarks from my home screen?
I wasn't synced in the past as well and it still worked well. Just to make sure the bookmarks not removed from the browsers itself. The only thing that is getting deleted is the shortcut of the bookmarks that i am putting on the home screen. Seems like it's possible that there is some app or something that working on the background and removing them. I am just not sure what does it.

Do you have a custom ROM installed, or did you make any other significant modifications to the phone after rooting?

Can you see if this happens in Safe Mode as well?

Another thing to consider is clearing the cache and data of the launcher -- this means you'd have to set up your homescreens again, but perhaps there's some bit of bad data that's causing this to happen.

Hey thanks for your reply i was able to fix that.
For those of you that has the same problem. I have download and installed the phone from sammobile website and it seems like the problem was with the version they offer.
I have redownloaded different version from a website called samsung-updates and had to reinstall the phone and update it myself before rooting the phone.
That fixed my problem.
