I notice that when you have a tab open and go to Boomarks and select another site it opens in a New tab, instead of the current tab open.
I tried this..... chrome://flags/#android-native-pages-in-new-tab. .....but there is no "Find the setting labeled "Open downloads, history and bookmarks in new tab".
Change the setting to Disabled.
Restart Chrome to apply the changes"

Is this a glitch due to updates?
Thanks

You're talking about Chrome for Android, right? I know you can change how bookmarks open in Chrome for Desktop, but not sure about the mobile one.

There's no way to change it on Chrome for Android that is the behavior that they gave it and you are not able to long press open in this tab
Hi Thanks for the info. Is this something that may have happened as the result of an update? I don't recall it opening a new tab before..... but I may be wrong. Lol!

TBH I don't remember if it opened in the same I guess I was not paying attention haha

Now I got this. "Add New" and can not remove it by long press and select remove. Any ideas how to get rid of it? I really dislike stuff that seems to just jump into place when not asked for or wanted.
See picture attached. Thanks.c

I had that but it has disappeared. How or why.....I do not know. Often I think things get changed via updates, whether needed, wanted, or of any use, just to justify some coders job that they actually did something. Again, of real value or just an unwanted annoyance?
Sorry for the rant. But there is important stuff to address to keep things secure.
