I haven't had my edge get hot yet but the phone has become warm on the screen and back, just not alarmingly.

Best app. Do not download any other.

I don't have it on my edge. instead of smart manager, i have 'notifications'.

I have tried Battery Doctor, Battery Defender, Purify, Avast Battery Saver and CM Battery Saver, and my personal favourite and top pick would be the Purify App because of its wide variety of features and higher compatibility.
