Boosting your charge no longer appears after Nougat update

Droid Turbo 2

When I charged my phone - even when placing it on the Tylt wireless charger - I used to get an animation of a rocket ship blasting off and a notice saying "Boosting your power" (or something of that sort). Anymore I just get a message that says "charging slowly".

I did try plugging the phone into the factory supplied Turbo Charger. I got a message saying "turbo charger connected" but only got a "charging" message.

Any thoughts? Is this an issue with Nougat or is my battery just getting funky. The phone is almost 2 years old so that may be the case. I really hate not being able to replace the stupid battery.

I don't remember ever seeing a charge animation like that on my Turbo 2. Maybe an app that was installed? I saw Turbo Charging displayed when plugged into the original wall charger that came with the phone, but wireless charging will not trigger the Turbo Charging display.
