Booting in Recovery Mode

I'm having problems with my tablet. I keep getting the messages 'contextprovider had stopped suddenly' and 'unfortunately, phone has stopped' so it is unuseable.

I was finally able to do a factory reset but it has made no difference. Is there anything else I can try?

I need help - or is it just broken?

full power off (press power btn for about 30 sec) then press power btn and volume up (or dwn , it depedsspecific model), once the android figure is shown press volme agan in a different direction as you used to get in recovery, then it should show the recovery menu/

Annoyingly that doesn't seem to have had an effect...
