Booting into cwm recovery

Sorry if this is a noon question but i've looked and searched through the forum extensively. I just rooted my phone without trouble, installed rom manager, and flashed cwm... I'm trying to install the jt super clean rom but I cannot get into the cwm recovery. It won't apply update.zip because it is unsigned. Any ideas? I'm using a mac. Thanks.

when you open rom manager, did you press " flash clockwork recovery"?

Yeah, I pressed that and selected my device. I then proceeded to download the JT rom that I wanted to install... when the device reboots, however, I am presented with an error message. I can't remember the message, so I'll check again once in home.

You have to flash the Clockwork kernel before you can star ROMing. See here

He said he flashed CWM, there i go assuming he meant via odin... im really off today . good catch Kevin
