Bootloader help?

I went to do a hard reset on my phone, I do this about once a week. This time was weird because I got a bootloader screen. I did some searching and found this is a real thing but I don't ever remember turning it on. Is there a way to turn it off or an I stuck with this? Thanks in advance

Which phone? If one of your volume buttons gets stuck, that might lead to the phone powering on to the bootloader (since the button combination is usually Power + Vol Up or Down)

5x, I did hold power + vol down to hard reset. I tried it again and it didn't do it. As long as it's nothing to worry about, I'm good.

Yes, you're good. Booting into the bootloader can get you to the Recovery Menu, where you can wipe the cache partition (a useful troubleshooting step): http://forums.androidcentral.com/nexus-5x/607313-how-clear-system-cache-5x.html
