Bootloop issue in 6xx

Okay, I'm getting a LG G4 tomorrow. I was quite sure that If I get one manufactured in 2016, I won't have to face the bootloop issue. But then I heard people complaining about the issue even with the ones' S/N starting with 6xx. I also heard that it's due to a software issue not hardware like the previous ones.

So I was wondering what LG has to say regarding this new software problem? Should we expect a fix in the next update?Or, will I be safe if I get the phone and downgrade it to Lolipop from Marshmallow?

Yes you will be safe. I'm running lollipop with no issues

I just picked up my LG G4 on Thursday. It came with Lollipop but T-Mobile pushed Marshmallow on me. The phone was manufatured February 2016...very happy. Love the phone!

I've seen a couple users here with 6xx phone's reporting the boot loop issue, so it's not out of the question. I saw one refer to it as a software problem, but no one else. My guess is it's still a hardware issue (almost certainly if the freezer trick works), and the user was misinformed.
