Bootloop

Hi, I have a HP 8 tablet running android 4.4.2 in a bootloop.

Managed to get adb sideload going but the 4.4.2 update image I downloaded triggers the following error:

E: Footer is wrong
E. Signature Verification Failed
Installation aborted

Is there perhaps a special recovery img that I can use to get out of the bootloop, without losing data?

There is probably NOT a way to prevent data loss, BUT if you were properly backed up to the Google cloud you SHOULD get much of your info back, possibly even all of it. Have you tried booting the tablet to safe mode?
