Bootstrap vs MyBackup Pro

I have a quick question I hope someone can shed some light on. I have a rooted droid X and have both Boostrap and Mybackup pro. My question is: do they both do the same thing and what are the advantages/disadvantages of one over the other?

i havent used my backup, but looking at it on appbrain, it looks like it just backs up copies of most of the data on your phone. bootstrap allows you to reboot into recovery, where you can create a nandroid backup, which is basically a snapshot of your device at the time of the backup, allowing you restore to that point at any time (similar to a system restore on windows).

if you plan on flashing roms/themes, nandroids are pretty essential. they allow you to fix any problems that might arise from a new rom by flashing back to a point before you installed it.

my backup looks handy enough, but one question i would have is that when backing up apps, does it also backup the market link (as titanium does)?

It gave me the option to backup the market link as I got a popup saying this is only allowed for root users. I like the look of mybackup better than titanium.

It also gives me the option to back up my homescreen settings and system settings, not sure if titanium does that as well?

yeah, titanium can, though backing up and restoring system data has seemed to have mixed results on the X (last time i did it there was an issue with the accounts manager that caused a persistent sync icon in my notification bar; a common bug it would seem). so i guess my backup is basically the same thing as titanium, so roll with it. but i would keep bootstrap as well, as youll need it if you ever want to boot into clockwork recovery for nandroids

One other really cool thing that Titanium does is freeze an app, so that it never starts up and runs. You can use for any blur that you don't use without having to delete or rename the file. I have no idea if MyBackup does this or not.

I have MyBackup and Bootstrap and they both are nice and I found out that MyBackup activates advance backup options when it detects a rooted device but I am unsure how in depth does it get, Bootstrap probably covers more system files because it boots into recovery mode that disables files that can not be accessed while booted into system.
