born again Android user from iPhone needs help

Hello everyone!! coming from verizon iPhone 5 and tired of same ol' same ol' and excited about getting an android phone!! I've owned the first motorola droid so I'm not entirely new to android OS.

so the help I need is choice of device; I'm torn between the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One on AT&T.

any and all help and tips will be awesome! thanks in advance.

Biggest thing to do, I would make a list of features of both phones, pick out the features you like and whichever phone has the most that you like, wins.
Both are very solid devices.
If you know anyone who has either an HTC or a Samsung, ask them what they like about their phones.

If I were in your place, I would probably wind up choosing the S4. My biggest reason: I like an external SD card slot. Many people don't, but for me, it is an inexpensive way to boost my total storage. I put music, video, pics, ROMs and proper backups on my SD card, leaving more room for apps and appropriate data on my internal storage.

Now, don't get me wrong, even though I have several Samsung devices, I can understand why many people like the One. Very, very solid device.

I say wait for Verizon One, didn't really like samsung's buggy software, I returned the S4 and got a One, NO regrets

I had a similar dilemma. Also came from iPhone for years. I weighed the pros and cons of each phone. I took into consideration that I take a LOT of pics and am lazy as far as uploading to computer (and don't want to spend money on cloud storage space. I would need way more than the free space any place offers). So to have the extra me memory on the sd card is what ultimately won me over. That and the 13mp camera and 5in screen.

What do you use your phone for? If memory isn't an issue and there are no other true deal breakers then you should try to go in store (att perhaps) and play with both side by side.

Either way, both are beautiful phones. Good luck and keep us updated with what you choose

Thanks everyone! after reading several threads, I've made the decision to get the GS4 for my wife and myself on AT&T. Gonna wait for the red one though. I think its next week. Anyone know otherwise? now gotta decide on 16GB or 32GB

I hope you really enjoy your s4. I got mine as soon as the 32gb came out. I dont think you'll regret it. Im not a heavy phone gamer so the 16gb would have been fine for me. At&t has the trade in an old smartphone and get at least $100 off. I dont know all the details but you should look into it.

I have a note 2. Its my first Samsung and I adore it. My bf got an iPhone and had it for 2 days. We returned it and got him a note 2 as well. He wanted to give the iPhone a try but it wasn't for him.
