Bought a LG Urbane 2nd Edition from At&t...they never contacted me about a recall??

I'm past my return period and I never received anything from At&t....I'm assuming I'm covered if something does happen to my watch since they never told me anything about returning it...am I right?
 
There is no recall but a text message went out a week ago telling you to return the watch. If you are not an AT&T customer, you probably won't hear anything from them. If you are on a family plan, only the primary account holder's number receives this message.
 
That does seem weird. But this whole thing seems weird! Neither AT&T or LG have handled this very gracefully. I'm sure a lot of Urbane LTE buyers still have no idea that there was a recall as I would assume most people aren't on Android specific forums... Anyway, I did happen to get a text from AT&T:

The individual at the AT&T store I talked to said to keep the watch since I should be able to exchange it for the new Urbane when it eventually comes out because there was not a time limit on the recall on LG's end.
 
Happy Urbane 2 owner here! No messages to me about it in my text, email or on the app for ATT that I can find. No number sync available, which was my primary reason for buying, but love the watch regardless. Keeping until failure, but did hedge the bet by buying the K8 based on multiple positive reviews (other than the seller). Haven't received it yet, but at least I now have a tracking number (5 days to receive that from order...).
