Bought new battery and charger but my phone will not charge, where do I go from here?

Bought new battery and charger, phone will not charge (Please Help)

So in October my phone started to have battery problems and it has gotten to the point where my phone had to be kept turned off for it to charge. Last week it stopped being able to charge completely, and so I figured it was a battery problem. So I bought one as well as a new charger. But it still won't work? The port isn't even loose or anything. It's probably a hardware problem, yeah, but is there anything I can do?

You will probably have to take it to a service center, unless you are comfortable with repairs yourself. What make and model phone is it?

Yeah that's probably what I'm going to do. It's the Samsung Galaxy S2 T989
