Funny, all the videos I've watched on Nexus 7 drop tests show it to be far superior and seemingly indestructible. But these forums are flooded with "tablet grazed a table, screen shattered" situations.

Just ordered one last night; I hope to heck it lives up to its drop tests, because I have butter fingers.

There is one guy that's dropped it on his bathroom floor from his sink multiple times and still has a working unit. My cat has knocked it off a side table that's waste high MULTIPLE times, and mine is still perfect. I think you should be fine, but I guess YMMV.

lol I dropped mine twice onto my hard tile bathroom floor.

It's still in perfect shape, but there is 'hidden stress' that you don't see. Even a small bump could cause my screen to be destroyed at this point.

i almost cried when i dropped mine on the grass from about waist high, but it was fine. no scratches whatsoever.
