This method should fix your issue. I found that if you turn off the phone it will charge. I was down to like 5% battery life when I finished, because I was still having to work and use the phone in between steps. It really sucked. If you are having issues getting your system to load drivers. Unplug the usb cable from phone. Load into Bootloader. go into fastboot, then plug in your phone. This worked on my Windows 7 with no problems. I at home for a bit if you need any help.
