Hi, thisis the 2nd Evo this has happened to where I rooted the phone and eventually it just boots up the evo4g screen then resets and does it again without ever making it into the android os. Usually when I do factory reset it works for a time before eventualy doing this again, but this time i tried to delete system files thinking that would help. That left me in deep doodoo. Ive managed to install a custom rom but that only boots up after many retrires can someone link me to original system files please? Any help appreciated I will pay it fwd.

It sounds like you've only SOFT bricked your EVO thankfully, and erasing /system from HBOOT just sounds like you wiped it from the recovery, so... it is unfortunate, but there has been so many updates to the HTC EVO 4G that using an RUU is useless unless it's higher than your current information, do you care to share this information?

And also, have you S-OFF'd your EVO or did you leave it S-ON? Because if it's S-ON, that means that before and after you flash that new ROM, you need to flash the kernel included with the ROM.
