Bricked my note 2 while installing Clockwork Recvery

I have tried to install Clockwork Recovery on my rooted Vernon note 2 by following this link:
CWM Recovery For Verizon Galaxy Note 2 SCH-i605 Installation Guide [How To] - Tutorial / Guide
Unfortunately it did not work. And I think I bricked my phone and need help to recover. Now the phone says "System Software not authorized by Verizon ..... "

did you unlock the bootloader before you tried to install CWM?

No, I did not. That was the mistake and it was not obivious in the tut I followed to install CWMM

Are you able to put your phone into download mode? (Vol Down+home and power for a few seconds)

You have to use a version of Android that doesnt care about the bootloader
