Brightness bar stuck on lockscreen?

This is the second time this has happened to me so i thought i'd ask about it this time, so basically my brightness bar slider is stuck on my lockscreen, this is blocking my notifications and it also makes my notifications invisible when i unlock my phone. This is really annoying and the way i fixed this the first time was to do a factory reset of my phone which is very annoying and a hassle so if there is a way to fix this without doing that it would be very helpful.

i am using a galaxy core prime by the way and im on the latest version of android

I too have this problem. Same phone Core Prime. Appeared upon update.
