Hello everyone, have a good day.

I come here to try to solve a problem I have.

I recently installed a Project Elixir GSI rom of Android 14, it happens that the maximum brightness is a little less than half of what it would be on my stock firmware.

I tried to solve it with some generic commands in the linux terminal with root permissions, but I saw no differences.

I would like to know if there is a solution for this and to be able to reach the maximum brightness that my IPS LCD screen allows.

The GSI Build Number is: AP1A.240405.002.A1

My device is a TECNO Pova 3.

I have ROOT permissions

Solution
Any third-party ROM could have some kind of limitation(s) that may or may not get fixed in the future. It depends on the phone model and how much interest developers have in continuing to support it.
Every phone model has its own, unique hardware configuration so the matching software involves not just the Android kernel base but the inclusion of specific drivers and firmware, There is no such thing as a generic Android ROM that will be fully functional on any smartphone, instead, each ROM is very model specific.
Perhaps you might want to switch back to an appropriate stock ROM, that will restore an OS that's fully functional again, You have root access so that does allow you to tweak things to liking. Or is there a different...

If the stock ROM's brightness was so much better, perhaps it's some kind of glitch with the third-party ROM you flashed onto your phone. Have you tried contacting anyone at Project Elixir?

Yes, they have a Telegram group for support and questions, but I'm not getting answers.

I saw that a person with my same phone model also has problems with the brightness of the CrDroid GSI.

It's not annoying, but it's like it's halfway through the original firmware, making it difficult to see in bright environments.

I also had a problem with the 3.5mm jack that was not detected, I managed to solve it with a command in the terminal, I don't know if the brightness problem in the terminal can also be solved...

Sorry for the delay, I report that I managed to solve the problem by installing a Magisk module that solved the problem on the Redmi Note 10 5G (Camellia), apparently the solution also worked for my TECNO, I attach the file for whoever needs to solve similar problems in the future .

Thanks for posting your fix, it could be useful for others searching for help.

(.... just want to add that posted link is a zip file that 'may' be a possible malware issue. Submitting the link to:
flags the link as Malicious. But it's only being triggered by one out of several so there's a good chance it could be false positive. All of the others identify it as Clean.. On my desktop scanning it with the ClamAV utility also didn't detect anything. The VirusTotal site has a long, international history (just short of two decades) with a solid reputation so there's not a real definitive answer with this particular zip file.)

Anyway, a user recently created a few KB script, which fixes the issue for Transsion Holdings (TECNO, Infinix) devices.

So this is a base solution.
