Brightness Problems

After updating to Lollipop my screen keeps getting brighter by itself. One minute the screen is at the brightest setting, then all of a sudden it gets even brighter. This happens whether or not it's plugged in. Phone seems to get a little hot but that's usually normal for phones these days.
Anyone else have this problem? It's getting annoying especially when I'm reading something at night.

It's caused by the Adaptive brightness setting . You can turn it off under display in settings . It's used to help save a little battery . When I first noticed it , it messed with me a little bit but now it doesn't bother me .

I already have it turned off, it still happens.

I had the same problem, especially in bright sunlight, when the screen would suddenly dim. I just downloaded Lux and for the week or so that I have been using it, it seems to work much better.

Thanks so much! It's too early to see if it fixed the problem, but I'm loving it already.
