Ok so I'm not a complete n00b to ROM's and I even knew I should have done what I did but here it goes.
I have a VZW GN and since the 28th have been running the leaked JB on it. Loved it. Anyways, one of my games the game data didn't come to the phone when I restored it with titanium backup, so I thought maybe it missed something. I went back into the batch restore and all i saw was system data that could be restored. I knew not to do this, I told myself not to do this, but I thought hey thats what backups are for right?
Anyways so it rebooted after the restore and I lost my basic set up, I was using NOVA and it was back to stock launcher, an old set up of folders, etc... some apps like the camera app only had the green android icon, and if i clicked on anything with that icon it said they weren't installed, even though they were in my app drawer. So I thought, great I lost my set up, no big deal I was planninng on going back to AOKP anyways. I mean I love JB but I can wait till CM9 or AOKP get it going.
So I go into ROM manager and go to restore my back up. it reboots into recover and then fails. Basically it says that the path the backup file is in can't be found, mind you CW Rom Manager knew the file was there, because it gave it as an option to restore. I was like ok lets try again, a few times same thing. I tried factory reset, same thing. I thought ok, many those files are just messed up, maybe I can install from SD card. So I tried to install my AOKP build, same problem said the path could not be found, even though it obviously knows its there because i can select it to install, I tried wiping everything when i did the install too, nothing.
So JB works, I can reset it up the way I want it, but I can't restore any of my backups or install any of the ROM's on my phone (haven't tried putting new backups or ROM's on the phone yet).
Any ideas, should I just delete my CW Mod folder and try fully reinstalling the app?
Would love some help, hopefully I didn't totally blow my phone. Another reminder to never restore system data!!!
