Broken Samsung Galaxy S5 screen help

I broke my screen on my Gaslaxy S5 when I dropped it. The screen is barely visible. But it seems to be working. I went the AT&T store and bought a new Galaxy S5. I want to transfer/backup certain stuff to the new phone. Considering I cant see anything on the old phone, do I have any options where i can do a screen mirror without having to do anything on the old phone. I want to backup contacts/my health stuff, whatsapp etc. Many thanks in advance.

you have a couple of options.

since the broken phone is still working and you can get it to work...

install * Smart Switch by Samsung and it can move stuff over from the old phone to the new phone.

-or-

you can install this app on the old phone and it will create a backup and then present a Block Code for the new phone to read, and that will cause the new phone to install the apps and data from the old phone. It is actually quite neat as it will transfer all of the data over to the new phone.

you can install the app in my signature MyPhoneExplorer, once that is done, just plug the old phone into your PC and download everything you want to keep to your PC... then you can copy it all to the new phone. This method is much more tedious and requires that you know where the data is you want. but I heartily recommend that you install this on the new phone as a Safety Precaution in case you break the screen on the new phone and have not backed up everything on it yet. This app will allow a PC to read anything on the broken phone and download it.

Was in a mall yesterday. Seen a Kisok booth.
They had a dude that had a Ipad with a broken screen. The whole Ipad was torn down , and he was cleaning it and putting it back together.
Another dude had a couple cell phones torn down. cleaning them and working on them.
All this was being done while the customers waited.

This was their name.

My son broke the screen on his S4 and I called Samsung and they will fix it for 170.00.
