Browser and games closing to home screen

No force close message though those happen as well. Just shuts down mid game or browsing. Am wondering if it has to do with ads and/or pop ups. Tried shut down, battery pull. Data erase. Cache clear. Uninstalling games and starting over. Has anyone found a way to decrease the frequency as I've seen this is a multi phone brand issue.
