browser url suggestions

Whenever I type in a url in the browser, it suggests things in the bar above the keyboard. When i hit enter it takes me to whatever the left most thing it is suggesting. It is usually a different part of the same site. It's annoying because this makes me have to take an extra step to get to the homepage of a site. Is there any way for me to tell it to go to the url I type in, and not what it remembers from its history?

And this is assuming you are using the stock browser?, i have turned to using Dolphin & Im just experimenting with Firefox's new version now.

I've just figured this out; it was driving me crazy.

Just hide the keyboard when you are done typing, then hit the arrow to the right of the url window.

I was having this same problem since I got the phone and it as aggravating the hell out of me. I finally figured this out 2 days ago lol.

I use dolphin mini on my Evo 3D and in my opinion,its the best browser i've ever used on a smartphone!
