I've used a few alternate browsers, and Dolphin HD is probably my favorite.

Dolphin worked alright on my XOOM, gonna give it a shot on the Tab 10.1. To be honest, though, the Tab's browser on 3.1 seems to be pretty good. I just wish it had that Labs feature from the XOOM.

I've been trying out Dolphin HD on the SGT. I also installed the "Desktop Plugin" for Dolphin that lets you toggle between mobile and desktop. But why is it that I still get the mobile version of the NYtimes and ESPN In the Dolphin browser. I even went into the settings and specified "Desktop" as the User Agent.
Other websites seem to server up the "full version".

Anybody else get this browser to work on these 2 sites?

The stock browser seems pretty good. I also loaded DolphinHD and Firefox. I have a few webistes that I use for work that run better in Firefox, but other than that I have been mostly using the stock browser.

Curious...I've been using the stock browser and find it works pretty damn well. When you ask for a 'better' browser I assume there are specific problems you are having with stock. Can you share? I'm wondering if these are things I haven't come across yet.

The stock browser has been great so far. One issue I'm seeing, and I just want to make sure it's not me going crazy, is if there are 2 tabs and you try to close the 2nd tab by hitting X, do you guys find it hard to do and instead it fires up a new tab? Driving me CRAZY.

Yes. It's hard for me to close tabs at times. It's as if it didn't detect my finger press.
I also wish there was a way to close all tabs.

I did find that the space you need to tap is a little small, and that the tab closes relatively slowly compared to how fast the rest of the browser operates. But, especially now that I have the browser loading full desktop versions all the time, I haven't had any issues with the actual browsing experience.

I think Opera works pretty well overall. Personally, I didn't like Firefox or Dolphin.
