I am wondering if some of the folks who are not liking the sound on the buds, don't have them inserted properly. I noticed a MARKED improvement when I turned them (maybe an eighth to a quarter more) in my ear.
Tighter fit / better seal=better sound.

If you're used to higher quality buds and/or headphones, the sound of these Galaxy Buds is mediocre at best. No matter which tips you use.

What you're saying is true, but most people aren't going to be that finicky. Foam tips will make a big difference but is not going to turn them into a $500 or $1000 set of Shures but the vast majority don't care enough to spend that kind of money.

Yes, I totally agree with you. For free, I'm not finicky with them at all. They are super convenient for the gym and the sound is acceptable for that environment and activity.

On the flip side, I would never use them for listening sessions where I want good sound quality. And would never pay $130 for them under any circumstances. Even for gym buds, you can't do much worse for much less money.

But for free, they are adequate so I can't complain too much lol.

I'm still waiting to get approved. The Best Buy Rep tried telling me it was because my Samsung and Best Buy accounts had different emails and I had to contact Samsung to join emails together. Samsung tells me it was a problem with Flamingo Pink ones. She told me give it till Monday and if I don't get an email call them back.

All I'm saying is try turning the buds 1/8-1/4 turn more, one they feel they are already correctly seated in your ear. The sound improved, markedly for me. Also using the right sized polymer piece.
I have a great sounding noise - canceling set of wired on-ear and over ear cans, one of which I always have in my pack, but I reach for the buds every time. The sound is fine for my 45 minute train commute and the convenience of just popping them in my ears more than makes up for the drop in sound quality. I'll use the cans next time I fly, perhaps...but maybe not.

I just had a chance to try them today. Been very busy. I was not satisfied with the volume. so, I googled search some stuff and found you can download some equalizers and it does improve the sound. I want to know why I can't turn on Media sync though.

Some people on other sites said the volume was great before the put out an update on the buds. Then after the update the volume wasn't that good. I'm still doing more research.

Found the fix on how to make them a lot louder. I posted it on the main page since a lot of people were having trouble. If you have media sync on turn it off or it won't work.
