Buffed Out Scratches On Screen!

My screen had some minor scratches (not deep). I was able to remove the scratches by dabbing some toothpaste on a soft rag, rub it on the screen and let the toothpaste dry. Then I took the rag,
dampened a part of it and rubbed in a circular manner until the toothpaste was removed. It worked! The scratches were removed!

I knew toothpaste worked for paint scratches, but not glass. These weren't deep scratches, but they were noticeable.

It works well for filling holes in dorm room /apt walls as well.

+1 on the dorm/apt room comment. Been there and done that back in my younger days.

I was thinking about that too. I just don't want a screen protector.
Any reason why you don't want one? They're inexpensive, unobtrusive, fairly easy to apply (apart from that one fleck of dust which always manages to get under mine no matter how careful I am) and will help to maximise your resale price when you eventually decide to upgrade your phone.

I recommend tempered glass screen protectors if you want similar feel to the original glass, and great protection. But I prefer wet applied ones since it can curve around the smooth edges of the Nexus 4.
