LG G Watch - Google I/O edition
Observations:
After power up the device pairs with my Nexus 5 correctly and then begins a download (to LG G Watch) that takes up the full screen. The download stalls at about 5% (it's just a light green circle icon, no details provided by the UI) and does not change for minutes, hours, etc.
I can swipe to the right and reveal a Troubleshooting card, but when I release it snaps right back to the download icon.
Powering off with Paper clip in the back leads to same result. Attempted a reset about 5x.
On Phone: Android Wear App on Nexus 5 indicates everything is connected and normal. Nexus does not indicate anything is being pulled down from the web.
Hypothesis
This is an attempt by the system to install the August 5th OTA update to turn off the charging pins and prevent burns, UNABLE TO CONFIRM.
Solution
Totally stumped, rather pissed off.
Please respond if:
1. You have experience this
2. Have an alternate hypothesis
3. Have a proposed solution.
