Had some apps(games) crash randomly, never had played them before so not sure if it's an issue with the nexus.

One was heavy gunner and the other was uninstalled : P
thought the browser had crashed twice so far but I may have hit the home button, I reopened the browser the webpage blank and just reloaded itself.

My big issue that I ran into was the 3 buttons had disappeared, can't recall what I was doing, tried turning the screen off and on and they still wouldn't show. Turned the screen off again and on the lock screen I went to camera instead and that brought them back.

Hows everyones battery life so far? I charged mine up a bit ago and in no time was down 5% and only a few texts and playing bejeweled 2 for about 5 min lol. Only on 3g with wifi on too. Was hoping this would last a while. I know not as long as my TB with ext battery but still.

Got it from the store at 57% and played with it till 3%, recharged and then went on my usage spree.

Browsing, more browsing, more app downloading, games, setting tinkering and it was back down to 3% after about 3:30 hours with some very heavy use.

All 4g
Screen brightness is set to about 35%, auto is just way too dim.
Screen was off for about 15 minutes for the entire length of use.
Up to about 500mb of data used.
The screen is the the battery monster with a battery devouring 67%

Now I wonder how it will be with just 3g on, a task for tomorrow I suppose.

Anybody having problems with Dolphin Browser HD not wanting to open up and a message pops up asking if you want to wait on the browser to respond? Im also using launcher pro but not sure if it could be the cause....

I just received my Galaxy Nexus phone from Verizon today. I have found one thing pretty strange:

Whenever I use Youtube, it seems that I cannot control the media volume. Upon trying to press volume up/down key, it seems that the phone is adjusting the *ringer volume*, not the media volume. Meaning... even if press and hold the button till volume goes to zero, Youtube volume remains the same. Anyone else got the same problem? Would you be able to test this out and report back here?

Generally I'm pretty literate when it comes to technology, but I haven't been able to figure this out yet.. and I'm hoping I'm not missing anything silly!

I have a pattern lock and I have it set to lock after 5 min; however, if I turn the screen off then back on, it's locked already. Seems like the lock timer isn't working correctly.

I am actually getting what I consider to be a decent amount of lag in the system. This is throughout the ui, whether it be home screen scrolling, in the browser, etc. At this point my TB with liquid smooth was more fluid then the Nexus. I have played around with 2d rendering options, and am currently in the process of uninstalling apps to test for incompatibilities that may be causing the UI lag.

Not sure if i like the whole add the icon to the desktop on installing an app thing but i am sure i can turn that off somewhere.

Don't have the phone myself yet, but on Honeycomb there is a setting within the market to turn off the "auto add to homescreen" setting... I'm guessing it's probably the same with ICS

Launcher Pro hasnt been updated in months, so just an FYI there might be issues.

Whats wrong with the stock browser they fixed it up! :P It may have not been updated, best thing you can do is email the app dev so they can update it.

What are you running, no lag here its amazingly smooth

Mine just up and died. Got it home, played around a bit, installed Angry Birds, screen went funny and it died. Started it back up, it showed the loading screen and then nothing. Took out the battery, put it back in, managed to get it up. Removed Angry Birds and reinstalled it, tried playing it, and it happened again.

Now it's entirely unresponsive. No booting screen or anything. Just dead.

Damn Angry Birds.

this works. i found it annoying too.

-only issues i have are weird notification light behavior (i had to download light flow but i love it)
-im using face unlock, just for fun and have it set to 5 minutes but it comes up every time.
-cannot add FB account under the accounts page. once i click facebook, it just goes back to the -accounts list
-added a high res photo as my contact picture under "people" yet it still looks blurry.

Signal strength is terrible and might be a deal breaker. Notification volume is non existant. Led does not work. Cant add a facebook account. Lag on landscape keyboard. App menu hangs when i hit the home button for a few seconds.

My screen definitely has a blue tint and it's not consistent across the screen. With a white background, the right side is slightly blue and gets more blue as I look to the left.

Also, when typing text, if I tap my finger to move the cursor to fix a typo, the cursor appears under my finger than jumps somewhere else after I lift my finger. Pretty annoying.

Anyone else seeing these? Pretty great phone overall, I'm happy but also hoping the issues get fixed soon.

I will be honest... I am somewhat disappointed with the screen on the Nexus. The viewing angle is pretty bad, anywhere past a 35? angle or so causes a blue tint to cover the screen. I'm also having WiFi issues, but I cannot determine if it is my school network or not.

Edit: I do have a screen protector, so that could be part of the problem.

This is the very first thing I noticed coming from the Rezound. No screen protector on either phone. On the Rezound I had the screen brightness to roughly 20%, and the whites still looked white on the display. On the blue hue is reduced at about 35% but it is still noticeable, and off axis viewing really brings out the blue hue.

These are the only two posts I found regarding this blue hue. I don't remember reading about this issue on the Euro version either. Everyone I showed it to yesterday noticed it too. I wonder if this is isolated and an exchange is in order?

3:Second problem i have now found. was able to copy over Ring Tones and Notification sounds no problem, but when i went to copy Pictures over in MTP mode it just Hung my PC. Have to copy pictures over in PTP mode to make it work but it's going SLOOOOOOOOOOW. Like USB 1.0 slow. Mind you this is on Windows 7 64bit so......

I have this exact annoying issue, the xfer just locks up.

I used a screen protector, took it off and screen is much better now! For some reason the protector made the screen look terrible. Now I love it!:)

What I have found:

1) When I select a GMail notification from the notification bar, it does nothing. It should open GMail
Solved: The notifications in the bar were from a third party app GMail Notifier 1.7 which, when clicked, did nothing. The stock notifier works. Just cannot customize the color of the LED and the notification icon...sigh.

2) Everytime I shut down and turn the phone back on, I get "Android is Upgrading" notice...then it proceeds to optimize all 111 apps, slowing down the boot process considerably.

3) Also see the Facebook account bug listed above where you cannot add a FB account to the Add Account page.

Anyone find a reboot widget that works where I can do a regular reboot and not have to Power Off and On?

Quick question, what are "SEARCES"?? :p

I could've sworn that I read in another thread that this is intentional on FBs part. Something with the API. Could be misremembering though.

Well.....that's not cool.

I only say that also because on my HTC Droid Inc. i went to "add contacts" from facebook to my gmail account and they never saved in gmail so that was the only way i had a few people's phone numbers. Guess i'll be going through them manually.

Terminal Led differences. On low brightness settings, with white on the screen, such as this forum, perfect parralel lines display different shades of white. It kinda sucks, is this happening on other phines? Do i have a deffective phone?

I would like to know this too... I have "Quick Boot" on my other devices and it is nice, but it requires root, and I am not quite ready to root just yet. Want to see if signal strength and battery life are improved with updates.

I had the same experience. They initially sold me the "anti-glare" screen protectors (I wasn't paying attention) and they did the screen a real disservice. I got a pack of the regular screen protectors and it's good now.
