Bugless Beast v1.1 Released!!!!

9 homescreens is just too many but I'm running adw.launcher with it and its so fast and smooth. Is there anyway to have battery percentage in the battery like with cyanogen?

You can but you need to use metamorph that's in the market. If you go to the themes section of the forum their is a tutorial you should check out.

Well the new Beast had the battery % but when you theme it it disappears. I am assuming something to do with the battery image files.

OK metamorph also is there a way to have old lock style the half circle without using a separate app?

Has anyone noticed this Rom just eating away at your battery? I took my phone off the charger 45 min ago and have just me texting some people and its already at 80%. That was the second time I charged it today. At first I thought it was the beautiful widgets live wallpaper but then I changed to a regular picture yesterday and my battery is still being sucked away quickly. My gps is off. Any ideas or experiences??

Have you gone into Battery Use under About in the settings to see what's using your battery?

Battery is lasting longer than 1.0 for me. Had my phone at a BBQ yesterday. Texting, emailing, and posting pics all day and it did swell.

I have as well, though I'm not sure it's caused by 1.1. However, I updated to 1.1 yesterday, and I've had terrible battery life all day today. I switched back to a backup of 1.0 that I had, and I didn't notice it improving. I just switched back to the stock rooted 2.1, and am re-charging my phone now.

Yes, it says 5 hrs since unplugged (from charged) and the battery is at 30%. Display is 45% and android core apps are 14%, android system is 10% and cell standby is 5%. I dont remember seeing android core apps before and i dont understand how display can be sucking 45%of 70%, I had the brightness turned down and was not on the whole time, nor half the time. I am used to easily getting a day out of my Droid.

What are your profiles like and what kernel are you running

BB might have the same issue as cyanogen has. If you notice throughout the day that you signal switches between 3g and 1x then that's the issue. I'm currently running BB 1.1 so if I notice this ill let you know.

I am running the bekit-0.8.3-7x 1ghz kernal that was a choice with the rom. I have my max set to 900mhz and min 250mhz. Also I have sleep/standby limited to 400mhz.

And yes sometimes it does switch from 1x to 3G but not consistently.

Try a different kernel or doing a full wipe through clockwork. You can also try #228 option 1&2.
On another not who is running this without setcpu. And if you are please use the program. Don't want to hear about people frying their phones because of scripts. While nice and a great idea. I find the greater control supplied by setcpu worth more than any down fall you could find

I actually am not using setCPU, and I find it runs faster without it - my window transistions and loading apps are faster on BB. It also runs cooler, although does have a tendency to overheat in the sun (as it's probably not regulating the sudden change in temperature).

However, as someone mentioned, this rom is definitely more buggy than 1.0. I had so many problems with random issues that I moved back to cyanogenmod (whose speed is improved by launcherPro, thankfully).

Thinking about trying dominator tonight.

if you get dominator installed you are going to love it's fast speeds and low temps. the one downside to the rom is the lack in features. not a deal breaker but after using it for a while it can get a little boring

By what features are you referring to?

I have tried it once, but it bootlooped a couple times. I am going to try it again soon, however, as cyanogenmod is getting boring.

I will try it tonight...if I can get my bum out of this chair and go find my usb cable. Probably tomorrow

Yes its missing so much all the things other devs bake in are totally lacking with Dom. Bb is still probably the most Well rounded rom out their

bizz worded it perfectly. Dominator is prob the best rom performance-wise. He left out a lot of cluttler apps and exrtas which contributes to its super fast speeds. The down side is that sometimes you like to play around with those extras but you cant on Dominator haha. it's a double edged blade. i will probably go back to it in a week or 2, once i get tired of the extras and am looking for speed again.

i wish Boost would continue to work on it. it seems like he put it aside for now.
