Build Quality

Got mine on June 21st. No build quality issues. With over 10 million units sold, there are bound to be a unit or two that may need to be exchanged.

No issues here, either. I second was the previous poster stated. I believe the build quality is superb. It is just lighter than most phones.

The cause of the cracking is under investigation. Hopefully, we won't have another microwave scandal on our hands. Is it just dandy that stories like this surface a month or two in advance of the new iPhone launch...

Maybe they have a knockoff or something. Okay, so seriously, I have NO problems with my phone.... At all.

Build quality is top notch.
NEVER seen any sign of pentile.
Photos are excellent.
Fast phone with NO noticeable lag issues.

Maybe this high quality device I have is an anomaly. OR maybe, just maybe... a couple people out of millions have an issue and it's getting blown up.

Remember, we are talking about a company that throws out hundreds of thousands of phones due to quality issues. Sounds like a company trying to get it right.

no issues with my phone.... build quality seems good... no cracking sounds or anything like that...

I agree with the microwave comment and some people are just hard on their phones which is why Otterbox does great business.

Personally I order and support phones for the company where I work. I see most phones come back nice and clean and others look like they have been through a concrete mixer. I personally would not have the gall to claim build quality issues if I had dropped the device from waist level onto concrete but some people would...

Cool folks.. glad to hear that.. I guess this is just another case of the media focusing on what's wrong with things rather than what's possible. This is one of the many reasons I don't watch the news or read it, though it's best to confirm these reports from people who own the device in question.. Much appreciated :)

Have you not used that upgrade yet?

I am extremely OCD about my phones and very finicky lol. My first GSIII had a very loose power button, which was clearly vibrating by itself when the device vibrated. Replaced it and this one isn't firm firm but much better.

Camera frame isn't actually 100% straight either, but works perfectly. Again, just me be fussy lol.
