Question Built-in Google remote... Gone!

So I opened my phone, pulled down my notification shade to click my TV remote and it's gone! Checked every phone in my house and they all lost the remote in the last day or two. What gives Google??? Our remote has been missing for months. This was our salvation. Anyone have any information as to why Google did this? I did an Internet search and found nothing.

Oh yeah, that does look like it's gone... You can always open the Google TV app I think there's a remote in there unless they remove that too lol.


EDIT: Because I'm nice (I AM nice! shut up!), I checked and all you have to do is open the Google TV app and the remote quick setting will be available to add again.

Yep, this ^^^. After a recent update the remote tile disappeared but you can add it right back.

Thanks for the update. I looked around and couldn't find anything. I'll check that Google TV app.

edit: Yep. After opening the Google TV app, the option came back to add the quick setting. I did have to re-add it, it didn't restore to the quick settings panel.
