Has anyone noticed their tbolt taking longer to bump charge then normal after a while?

My normal morning:
charge all night with the phone on
then when i get up I unplug it turn it off and plug it back in to bump charge it while I get ready for the day.

normally takes me about 20-45min on average.

Its been green and ready every day until the last 2 days. its taken over an hour to finish the charge...

anyone else having this problem?
do I need a new battery?

:/ I honestly think we need an ota update to fix all these little issues.

I think people need to call in issues with this phone when they experience them to get anything fixed.
I'm sure VZW and HTC don't read the forums.
This is their flagship phone and first on LTE. I'd bet they have a few folks working on ONLY these issues, etc. Could be wrong....

I did email htc today to see if they could give me any insight into some issues, but this is more to see if this is normal or something I should be worried about.

coming from an env 3 that lasted 5 days on a single charge I dont know whats normal with these devices.

I'm in the process off performing my first ever Bump Charge on my Thunderbolt which I got on the day that they came out.

I'm a light-to-moderate user and I'm coming to Android from a BB Storm1. On the Storm I could often go 48 hours and be only down to 50% charge. That's not quite so on the Thunderbolt. So I decided to try this Bump Charge thing.

I've been "bumping" for about 90 minutes now and while the intervals are getting shorter the device still has yet to display a green light immediately upon being plugged in.

I don't think that I'll be doing this again. It's just too time consuming.

Same here...

Is it really necessary to bump charge every time? I bumped charged after my first discharge and it only took 5 minutes. Haven't done it since. Getting 24 hrs on every charge no problem. I'm a moderate - heavy user. I also had my mom bump charge her bolt after first discharge and it only took her 5 min.

I can't figure out how to bump charge because every time I plug my phone in when it's off, it goes into clockworkmod recovery. Does anyone have a solution?

My money's on Android getting smarter and your battery getting more broken in. That said regular bump charging is damaging to your battery and will make it wear quicker. If you plan in replacig the battery more than once this is a non issue but for me I like the freedom of days without charge so I got the 2750 mAh battery today.

So your telling me HTC still has the issue of when the device reaches 100% it stops charging even if its still plugged in??

I've been averaging 10 hours moderate/heavy use without bump charging. Did it only one time.

Take it how you will.

know issue. over ont he XDA forums they say this is by design. So really not sure if it's a problem or truley by design. Since rooted I can't bumop charge mine either. Which i only do once every weekeend, myself.

From what I understand you don't plug it in when its off. Plug the phone in to the charger when it is on. Wait until the green LED is on showing it's fully charged. Unplug charger, reboot phone, plug back in again.

I thought it was charge while phone was on till green/100%.
Unplug, turn it off...and charge it again for 2 hours or so while powered down.

Then turn it on and charge to 100% again if needed.

wow...was there and update or something last night? I plugged my phone in before I went to bed, turned on the night clock mode and fell asleep.

when I got up my phone was off. I turned it on thinking "what happened?" and got ready. and it was green when I got out of the shower.

weird I must say.

I wouldn't call that a problem unless you prefer to have a phone company keep the battery at full charge when you are charging the phone forcing you to replace the battery in half the time than to would otherwise. I mean I thought screwing the customer was good business nowadays if it forces them to buy more of your stuff.
