Burn In

Burn-in depends on 2 things - time and screen brightness. If you're sleeping, it's probably dark, so setting the screen brightness to 1% (I just checked it in a darkroom) should be enough to see the screen - and not cause burn-in for years. 5% is actually pretty bright in total darkness - 20% is blinding.
Yes in my Note 3 I use an app that dims the screen even dimmer than the lowest brightness setting the phone produces in settings. Not a bit of burn in after 3 years of active use and 2 years of 7 hrs a day on homescreen as a night light and info center.

Could this app not be used on the Note 9?
