Burst mode

I had stumbled upon the burst mode at one point and now cannot remember how I did it. It is the mode where you can take many consecutive pictures in one shot. I have the burst mode on in the camera settings but when I press the shoot button it only takes one pic at a time. What am I missing?

On Auto mode, just hold the shutter button, it should take a bunch of shots

That's where I seem to be having the issue. I'm on auto mode, have burst option on, and I'm holding down the camera icon. It still takes one pic at a time.

If I hold it down and release, it takes one pic. If I keep holding it down, it does nothing.

Really? hmmm thats weird...try restarting the phone?
It should work if u hold the shutter button, for both the front and back camera

You have to enable it. With the camera in auto click on settings and you will see burst mode in the menu.

Really? hmmm thats weird...try restarting the phone?
It should work if u hold the shutter button, for both the front and back camera

I figured it out. You cannot have the auto night detection on. Burst mode only works if that box is left unchecked.

Put it in burst mode, then hold down button. Maybe clear out your memory first? It probably uses memory to cache the pics.

So I'm totally hijacking this thread... but has anyone found a good method of mass deleting the pictures that are saved in burst mode?

Going to the gallery app and touching and holding each picture seems to work alright, but is there any good app or method to easily discard the lame non desired photos? I don't mind using the method I described, but it's not possible to preview/zoom in and keep the all the photos selected.

The biggest problem is that all burst mode pictures are required to be saved to the phone storage, and there isn't a lot of free room there.

You can delete all the photos by plugging your S4 via USB into your PC, navigating to DCIM on the Phone storage and deleting the image files.

that's not the case - or isn't so on mine
I specifically saw a message saying that my burst shot were to
be stored on SD while single shots go onto main memory

I had burst shot on my S4 no prob till it went wrong

got a new one and trawled through a myriad of menus trying to get it
working again - it works now but am not completely sure what I did
I toggled around with the command showing one camera overlapping another
in top right of screen settings and it seemed to work fine then

Another option-Instead of turning buddy option on, press mode buTton and then "best picture". It takes a burst and let's you choose from around eight photos immediately after shooting and the rest are discarded. Saves cleanup later.
