Business Insider article: "Sorry, Apple: The iPhone 7 camera is not better than Samsung's Galaxy S7

Re: Business Insider article: "Sorry, Apple: The iPhone 7 camera is not better than Samsung's Galax

What about IPhone 7 plus?

The 7 Plus' camera isn't better. It simply has an additional (relatively bad, unstabilized) 56mm lens, but shares the same sensor.

Can't people just agree that they both have excellent cameras?

I can't - I own the 7 Plus and find the camera to be underwhelming. Low light (and let's face it: a huge number of people predominantly use their cell phones to take pictures of the kids, their pets etc. inside the house) sucks and autofocus is slow. Why they'd stabilize the wide angle lens and refrain from doing so for the 56mm I don't get either. If one of the two lenses needs to be stabilized, it's the tele. At 24 (ish) mm, the wide angle neither needs to be stabilized nor does it needs the 1.8 aperture. Unstabilized and at f2.8, the 56mm is pretty much unusable in low light.

maybe ONE day, but can't see that occurring in my lifetime... If they did agree, what would they argue about? Trump vs Hillary for Pres? That point will be moot in 50 days..<shudder> lol

They had to leave something for next year. It is rather stupid to add in the 56mm lens and not to OS with it. Apple and their magic tricks. :)
I'm still getting one though.
