But how is the FRONT camera?

Literally can't find any sample shots from the front camera. Is it identical to the one in the Moto X 2014? I really hope not because that was one mediocre front facing sensor.

This is the first time someone had questioned the front facing camera. Selfies on a 6 in phone would be interesting. I'd imagine the camera on the front will be average at best. Only way to know for sure is to get your hands on one and test it for yourself.

Never mind. Just watched the Android Authority camera shootout, which had some video and photos taken with the front camera, and they were abysmal... Not gonna lie, a bit disappointed.

The front camera is 2MP, and you're not likely to see much change in that in front cameras for a while. They're put there just so you can take a selfie. Even the Note 4, with it's "you can shoot everyone in a selfie" ads has only a 3.7MP front camera.

Now if you compare that to the cameras we had 10 years ago, it's more than 10 times the resolution (we had 0.3MP cameras in phones back then), but comparing a good rear camera to a front camera is like comparing an elephant to a mouse - they're the same color.

Well I know the megapixel count isn't going to increase dramatically, which is fine. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus only have 1.2MP front facing cameras, but the sensor is really good and takes excellent selfies and videos. I'm sad that Motorola can't seem to fully nail cameras yet, because they're doing everything else right.
