I dont know if my answer is too late or not - DO NOT flash ATT MODEM on TMOBILE PHONE or vice versa - it will brick.

Couple of other things:

I own a TMOBILE PHONE and use ATT Service. LTE Speeds are great.

Any udpates to the phone have to made manually - but you can go to Sammobile.com and dowload the update when it is available and flash via ODIN - full instructions on how to do this are avarilable at sammobile.com

If you buy an ATT phone to use on TMOBILE you will not be able to run custom roms because the BOOTLOADER is locked and cannot be unlocked - if you buy a TMOBILE PHONE and use it on ATT you can run custom roms because the BOOTLOADER IS unlocked.

Hate to take a thread off topic but my needs are the opposite of OP.

I want the run either a AT&T or VERIZON NOTE 4 on T-Mo USA.

T-Mo version would of course be best option but for a bunch of reasons but due to pricing between the variants I've been thinking about trying out AT&T or VERIZON NOTE 4... and if the testing does not work out port the lines into T-Mo.

Any progress been made on unlocking the boot-loader for either?
Additionally, how about ROOT access?

PS: I've read at least on the Verizon Note 4 radio bands can be reprogrammed... I would assume the same is true for AT&T if ROOT access can be enabled.

Heard of anyone that has been successful in manually editing the Bands on a NOTE 4?
