Buy your G4 from Bestbuy and get a $100 giftcard, no contract required or activation

Unfortunately not, the gift card does not get issued until your payment has been taken and approved. I tried this myself

I applied the $100 gift card to the phone purchase

Nice! Is this promo still going on tomorrow? Sunday the 7th

I'm debating on picking up Lg G4 or Galaxy S6.

I was told it ended tonight I rushed to get their before closing. Wife was pissed because we were gonna go earlier in the afternoon and we were out to dinner I said I should call best buy to see when that promo ends. I was told tonight was last night.

It still shows available on the website. Maybe if someone orders online they'll get lucky.

$650 phone
-$50 Sprint price match
-$100 gift card
-$25 new account
=$475 new G4 outright aka awesome deal

If you have a My Best Buy rewards account and they scanned or keyed your number, it will show up in your purchase history.

If you don't have a rewards #, you can try setting one up and then submitting a missed receipt.

I bought one this afternoon... I didn't know about the $100 giftcard offer, but the salesperson pointed it out and used it against the purchase. Kind of didn't even ask - he just assumed I would want to use the card. This was at the Hartsdale, NY Best Buy. Salesperson's name was Angel.

They wouldn't let me do it for some reason. He said because I bought it unactivated or something. Again not a huge deal as I shop at best buy all the time , still would of been nice , wish they let you apply gift cards to your best buy credit card though.

Where did you guys hear no activation required. I can't get them to budge that it must be activated to trigger the gc

They said Same to me but after the sale it prompted them for the gift card when he went to print out the receipt.

I went into my local BB, (Deptford, NJ) was told by the rep I had to either lease the phone or do easy pay to get the $100 GC. Made no sense to me. Maybe I'll try a different BB.

According to quite a few reports on here and xda, that isn't correct.

Yeah, that's what it seems like. I suppose the BB computer system overrides what the BB employees are saying. At least that's the vibe I'm getting from reading this thread.

And if that's true I'm thinking I should go back to BB and tell them I want to buy the Sprint phone outright but for them to pricematch to the $600 Sprint offer. Then from what I read the $100 giftcard prompt will automatically get offered up as they are checking me out. Then apply it to the total and walk out the door with the phone for $500+tax.

Wonder what my odds of success are with above...

Forget what they told you go back and try again. Mine said the same but once we finished the last step when he was ocmpleteing transaction to print out receipt it asked to scan gift card. The message even popped up on the credit card swiper so you will be able to see for yourself if it prompts them to do it.
