Hi folks,

Just received my Draco Design bumper. I will say it looks very nice in person and the side buttons and top button feel nice (will take pics tomorrow)

1 problem though --

The back bumper is not tall enough... due to the curve of the HTC One, it has 0 lay on the table design, and 0 drop protection!

The curve of the phone is taller than the bumper causing the phone to touch any surface it lays on. In short...this case serves no purpose.

Buyer Beware

I am using the HTC One Silver with the Draco One Black Bumper

I was already aware that the back of the HTC one is curved and so with the bumper it will not be totally secure.

So what I did was to install an Invisible Shield kind of protection at the back of the phone. This will help to avoid any scratches from falls or by placing the phone on the table.

Here is a photo taken right after the protection shield was installed
Now it looks alot better as the air bubbles have gone.

Does the invisible shield cover the camera? I don't think it would protect it in a fall at all.

No the invisible shield protection doesn't cover the camera lens.

That is the risk we have to take if you want to show off the back of the HTC One.

I have thought of every possible way to protect the phone so that I can use the phone and make it appealing at the same time.

The pouch helps because I like to put my phone in my trouser pocket, so just incase i have some coins or my keys, it adds an extra protection. I also put my HTC One on the pouch at work or at home when charging.

Well that stinks, really don't feel like buying something else when an $80 case has no protection. I had a sweet armor on my note and had they extended the back portion just 3mm more, it would have protected the back in the same way.

I'll chalk it up to shoddy design with no qa process

I guess you are right. May be you can write to Draco and complain to them, they may give you a refund.

I am happy with the Draco case because the aluminum bumpers gives a special look the HTC One and I have the invisible shield protection for the body and not to forget the pouch.

I put an Armorz HD film for the screen protector.

It cost me about US $105 to install the screen protector, invisible shield protection, Draco bumper and the pouch.

I have the poetic atmosphere car for mine and it shows the back of the phone quite nicely as well as protects.

pouch solution is the best. Why own a quality built device and wrap it with plastic (be it case or back film protector). Ok use screen protector, but why coat it with plastic... I like to feel the premium materials.

I totally agree. I thought of everything and gave myself peace of mind so that I can enjoy using the phone without having to worry about the phone getting dirty, getting scratches or finger prints all over. The bumper helps to add a better grip to the phone and also gives it a custom look.
The pouch is mainly for the phone when it is in my slacks pocket. I also place my phone on the pouch on my desk at the office and at home.

Couldn't agree more! What pouch have you got? Struggling to find a suitable pouch that won't add too much bulk

How has the signal reception been with this bumper on it? I am looking at the H1 and like the Draco bumper, I would also be adding a rear screen protector and a Spigen Glas.tR Slim as well.

How does it feel? I used to have a draco case on another one of my phones and the edges felt at times like they were cutting into my hand.

Is this the same thing?

I bought the cimo hybrid case from amazon for 9 dollars and I LOVE it a great slim case .
