Buyer Beware Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Edge

All these post to tell what we already know. The OP is obviously a iPhone drone, that needs to knock it's killer competitor with fabrication. Other wise he would be back to at least ask for help. Personally I think the mods should delete this thread, except that there are so many good things said, maybe it should be part of a review. LoL

No dropped calls on my Edge and I've had countless conversations over 1hr (women love to talk so I use the headset while I play fun run 2 and I keep saying uh huh)

Sent from my Samsung GALAXY Note Edge on AT&T

No dropped calls or any other flaws on my Note Edge. It is, indeed, flawless as one would expect on a nearly $1000 phone. Well done Samsung. Well done indeed.

I love the Note Edge
this is my 2nd phone & still have issue with the Camera

it struggles to focus :(
rest all is fine

I read a couple different things about this. Some people found they still had the plastic sheet covering the lens....it's easily missed. And also something about selective focusing being set wrong.

I currently own and have used both the Note 4 and Note Edge, and haven't experienced any issue like the ones you've reported, I've also used each and every of the Note series from Day 1, and still none of those problems. Haven't both worked for a carrier, and as a product RD engineer in Chicago for Samsung, I can tell you that one, any issue like that would be updated or addressed as it comes (from the manufacturer's side), based on the carrier's side, many people don't know Sugar Honey Iced Tea about many of the "issues" that they say occur. It's bad because it never helps the case of the consumer, and this is bad customer service.

I had an Iphone user drop his call while calling an edge phone......does that count?:)
No issues here, Verizon

See this is the thing people see in the forums "buyer beware" and obviously this post is total BS. Why has this not been removed? The OP has not even responded??? Seems stinky to me...

Buyer Beware!! The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Edge has known antenna issues that cause dropped calls. When you call Samsung, they will claim that they are not aware of any issues, but my wireless carrier has told me that this is indeed a known issue and Samsung is having to repair these phones for this issue.
The problem this creates for you if you chose to purchase a “new” Galaxy Note 4 Edge, is that will receive a “refurbished” phone back is that had some problem with the phone “fixed”. The Samsung Representative told me that they only make these phones to order, so if you want your phone repaired, you need to ship it to El Paso, Tx. and be willing to be without a phone while they repair it. (Another strong indicator that Samsung doesn’t want to create any new inventory for this phone as it’s sales are extremely poor, and representative why Apple has had their lunch since the introduction of the Iphone 6.)
My experience with Samsung is an example of a company that does not stand behind its products and is incorrectly having its representatives telling customers that “they are unaware of the problem…” You would think that they would want to resolves these types of problems quickly so negative press doesn’t get out about their new, revolutionary Galaxy Note 4 Edge. When I asked the Samsung Representative about the whether it was reasonable to expect a customer to be without a phone while they repaired their defective phone? The answer that I received was “we follow the warranty agreement only and there is nothing we will do outside of that. Run far from Samsung and stick with a US company that is known to support their customers and products. Trust me, you do not want to be in the position that I am in where I paid ~$850 for an unreliable phone where the 1.) manufacturer offers an unrealistic support solution; 2.)does not admit to manufacturing defective phones and 3). has no confidence in their own product and will only fix phones to order….

I think you just a bad one my note 4 edge has been a work horse sense I got it it's a beast of a phone never misses a beat hope you get it fixed your should be under warranty still so take it back

Buyer Beware... if you get the Galaxy Note Edge, you will NEVER go back to a phone without a curved screen.... thats what this post should've really said.

While I really like my Note Edge I can't quite say I agree with you. It's a neat feature but for me, it's not overly useful. That may be because I have other devices that I'm routinely switching too so maybe I just haven't spent enough time with it. I like the notifications and shortcuts on the Edge screen but it's not a "killer" feature for me.

I can understand your perspective on it. I was the same way as well with not feeling like the Edge panel was a "killer" feature, but the more I used it and finally became accustomed to it, the more fluent I was with multi tasking and realized this when I had to use my brothers Note 4 to look up something since my phones battery was low. It took a few for me to really navigate and find what I was looking for on it. I did, but just wasnt as fast and fluent as it wouldve been had I had my Note Edge.

I can NEVER go back to a phone w/o a curved edge. It's just to useful....

Posted Via Galaxy Note Edge. Yea, the phone is perfect...

If you looked in sprint forums the Note edge dropped call issues was pretty wide spread. I have the edge and love it but it did drop calls like crazy first week I had it. I called sprint and complained like anyone would and they gave me some speel about needing to optimize the towers. I loved the phone so much I figured I would wait til the very last day in the 14 day return guarantee to see what happens. They did fix it for me anyways, I haven't had any more dropped calls and love my phone. It does suck though that as of right now the sprint spark phones can't talk and surf unless on wifi. Supposedly sprint needs to roll out Volte before we can talk and surf again.

I have had this issue at my Home
& what i did was Change it from 4g to 3g

and wallah ...... no more drop calls
i feel they dont have many 4g Towers yet

I have dropped calls on Sprint as well. They gave me the spiel about needing to update towera but i waited to no avail. It still happens. I can be sitting atull talking and have 5 bars and then all of a sudden my call drops and my phone says bo signal. So you are not alone. Maybe i will try switching to 3g at times as someone mentioned.

I would return the phone and dump Sprint. I have dealt with them in the past. Even in Chicago, their reception suxs.
